Overview
This program establishes an incentive program for new energy-efficient propane appliances to be safely installed. Eligible new propane appliances will; replace some existing electric, fuel oil, natural gas, or propane appliances with NEW propane appliances, as they are listed below. Installations can be made in new home construction; in new manufactured homes; or homes upgrading their propane appliances. The program will reimburse consumers for safe installation of approved energy-efficient propane appliances in the amounts listed below:
Water Heater – Standard $100.00
Vented Residential Garage Heater $200.00
Water Heater – Power Vent/TTW/Tankless $250.00
Direct Vent or B - Vented Fireplace Unit $250.00
Central Heating Ducted Furnace/Boiler $350.00
A maximum of $450.00 may be claimed
· Homeowners, builders, and sales agents of manufactured home dealers can participate in the program, however, Illinois propane marketers and their agents/employees are not eligible to participate.
· The person applying to the program is called the applicant.
· Reimbursements for safe installations are paid by the IPGA to the applicant.
· All eligible installations must occur after the start date of the program, January 1, 2012 and must be located within normal residential living spaces, starting in 2012 residential garages, shops, or other attached are eligible installation locations.
· Eligible appliances must include a receipt showing proof of purchase with the purchase date occurring no more than six (6) months prior to the safety inspection date.
· There will be a minimum of 90 days to process completed applications and issue a reimbursement.
· Reimbursements cannot be assigned to the dealer.
· Maximum amount to be paid is $450.00 per installation address, per year.
